In short
- Analytics is off by default. No analytics cookies are written until you accept (Google Consent Mode v2).
- We only use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. No advertising, retargeting or social cookies.
- You can change or revoke your choice anytime from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
1. What cookies we use
Necessary — they make the site and app work and remember your cookie choice (for example, arenasynth_consent). No consent required.
Analytics — Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) to measure aggregate usage. These require your prior, revocable consent.
2. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure usage in aggregate and improve the product. The provider is Google (USA); the transfer relies on Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
It is off by default (analytics_storage: denied). It is enabled only when you click Accept in the banner. Your choice is stored locally in your browser.
3. How to manage or revoke
- Consent banner on arrival: Accept or Decline.
- Change or revoke later: the Cookie settings link in the footer (and in the app's Privacy section). If you decline, analytics is disabled immediately.
- From your browser: you can block or delete cookies in its settings.
- Google opt-out: Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
4. Legal basis and retention
Basis: consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a; LSSI art. 22.2) for analytics; technical necessity for necessary cookies. Google Analytics cookies expire according to Google's retention periods (_ga up to 2 years); your consent preference persists until you change it or clear your browser storage.
